My friend Boo Hewerdine and I will be spending a week in the wilds of Scotland, talking about songs, hopefully passing on bits of wisdom here and there.

From Boo’s site — “This is going to be great, A songwriting workshop at the wonderful Moniack Mhor centre in Inverness-shire on 4 – 8 May 2015. I will be joined by my dear pal Darden Smith – all the way from Austin, Texas! Darden and I met in the late 80’s and made the album Evidence together. A wonderful writer and recording artist who also runs the extraordinary Be An Artist program. We will spend the week writing songs in a perfect setting. And then, world class engineer Mark Freegard will bring his mobile studio along and record our album. Whether you are an international star or have never written a song in your life I can promise you an exhilarating time. Sessions will cover every aspect of songwriting and one to ones with us can help you attain your goals. Also the food is excellent and the views are amazing. If I haven’t got your attention by now I’ll go the the foot of our stairs.”
